For Renters

Tenant Resources

Everything current Woodward tenants need — rent, maintenance, insurance, and move-in/move-out.

This page gathers the resources Woodward Property Group tenants use most — how to pay rent, how to request maintenance, what to know about renters insurance, and what to expect at move-in and move-out. For anything not covered here, see our tenant FAQ or contact us.

Renters Insurance: A policy that protects a tenant's personal belongings and provides liability coverage; it does not cover the building itself, which is the owner's responsibility. Many leases require it.

How do I pay my rent?

Woodward Property Group uses an online rental payment service that accepts checks, debit cards, and credit cards. Rent is due on the date specified in your lease, and paying on or before that date keeps your account in good standing and avoids late fees. If you are ever unsure how or when to pay, contact us right away rather than letting a payment lapse.

How do I request maintenance?

For non-emergency maintenance, submit a request through our maintenance request form with a clear description and, when helpful, photos. For emergencies that threaten safety or risk major property damage — gas leaks, fire, flooding, or no heat in freezing weather — call us immediately at (678) 439-8003, and call 911 for any life-threatening situation. Prompt reporting protects both you and the home.

Do I need renters insurance?

Renters insurance is strongly recommended and is often required by your lease. The owner's insurance covers the building, not your belongings, so a renters policy is what protects your furniture, electronics, and other personal property — and provides liability coverage — usually for a modest premium. Keep your policy active for the life of your lease.

What should I know at move-in and move-out?

At move-in, complete the move-in inspection carefully and report any existing issues promptly, since that documented record protects your security deposit later. At move-out, give written notice as required by your lease, leave the home clean and undamaged beyond normal wear, and we'll compare the move-out condition against your move-in record to return your deposit fairly under Georgia law. Our tenant FAQ covers deposits and notice in more detail.
