How did Woodward Property Group get started?
Founder Michael Woodward Sr. grew up learning the trades — working alongside his grandfather, father, and great uncle on handyman and maintenance jobs while growing up in Miami and during visits with his grandfather in New York — and bought and renovated his first property himself at just 20 years old. He went on to college and built a full-time career as a teacher in Metro Atlanta, investing in, flipping, and renovating property across the metro on the side. In 2012 he left teaching to go all in on real estate, founding Woodward Property Group and growing the renovation side of the business until it became its own division, Woodward Renovations Inc. What started with hands-on trade work has grown into a firm that helps investors with the entire rental lifecycle across Metro Atlanta, backed by an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

It handles the rehab and rent-ready turnover work — kitchens, baths, basements, decks, painting, and flooring — that keeps rentals profitable and competitive. Because renovation lives in-house rather than with an outside contractor, the team that scopes a renovation is connected to the team that leases and manages the property, so timelines compress and nothing falls between hand-offs.
